+송 미 경 Mikyung Song (Piri)
Mikyung Song is a multi-media artist based in Seoul and Berlin. She plays the Korean traditional instrument “Piri” while working with video, multi-sound installation and performance. Her works are based on Eastern philosophy, ancient stories and community researches. She has also completed the Intangible Cultural Property No. 17, Udo Nongak(Farmer’s Performance of Udo) and Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 1, Jongmyo Jeryeak(Royal Ancestral Ritual Music). She exhibited at numerous places including Nam June Paik Art Center, GMoMA, Gyeonggi Creation Center(Korea), Tianjin Normal University(China), A Score of the Note(Netherlands), and NON Berlin (Germany).
+진 성 은 Sungeun Jin (Handpan)
Sungeun Jin is a handpan artist. He started his musical career as drummer, but he has huge interests in many other percussions. A few years ago, one of his friends introduced him to handpans, and discovering this instrument totally changed the direction of his life. Now he is recognized by the Handpan Magazine as the first handpan artist in Asia and is sharing his music not only in Asia but also around the world.
+성 유 진 Sung You Jin (Gayageum)
Gayageum player Sung You Jin started to play gayageum at age of 12. she entered Korea National University of Arts at the top of her class and received her B.M. and M.M.. She performed traditional music and various new compositions in chamber orchestras such as Jeong Ga Ak Heo and Gomool. Since 2010, she has been performing as a soloist in order to play music in her own way, and acquiring experiences by performing with various people, playing ancient scores and new Korean compositions of different composers, and even in plays and musicals. Currently, she lives in Berlin, Germany and performs as a member of AsianArt Ensemble in addition to her solo career.
